On the survey settings page, you can copy or delete existing surveys, create new surveys, and, for every survey, control:
Creating, copying, and deleting surveys
Create a new survey if you would like to start with a blank questionnaire.
If you would like to repeat an old survey, but modify the questions a bit, duplicating the old survey is very convenient. Not only the questionnaire, but also question groups (useful for looking at aggregated results) are copied that way.
If you delete a survey, all responses become inaccessible, so be sure to download the results first.
Determining the questionnaire URL
The questionnaire URL always starts with http:/ /anonymous- feedback.com/q/, but you can determine how it ends. If you don't use respondent passwords, the URL has the character of a password. For a new survey, the URL is undefined (see top image), but once you enter a continuation of the URL in the text box and save the changes, a valid URL is displayed (bottom image).
Although this URL starts with http:// and not https://, the questionnaire is secured with SSL. The URL you determine here only leads to an HTML file that forwards respondents to the actual questionnaire, whose URL starts with https://. You can test this simply by clicking on the respondent URL. For a complete test of the questionnaire, however, you should use the "Test Mode", which is available on the Questionnaire Editor page. That way, any test data you enter are automatically deleted after about a quarter of an hour.
The survey name
The survey name is shown at the top of the questionnaire, and it is also used on all other pages (the questionnaire editor and the pages for tracking responses and evaluating results) for referring to this survey.
The questionnaire language
This setting determines the language used for the navigation buttons and user interface when respondents enter answers. Ideally, you should pick the language of the questionnaire. If that language is not available, pick the language the respondents will most likely understand. Contact us if you need a new language for the user interface.
The time period
You can determine on which days it is possible to fill in the questionnaire. That way, you can ensure people don't answer before the questionnaire is ready, and that they don't waste their time once you have already started evaluating results. These times are specified in your local time. You can pick your time zone on the "Contact Data" page.
Add a logo
You can add branding to your questionnaire by adding your logo next to the greeting text. Upload any graphics file in .GIF or .JPG format and place a checkmark next to "Display logo". If you have already uploaded an image, it is shown as a thumbnail.
Activate or deactivate "Save & Continue"
At the bottom of the settings page, you can switch the "Save & Continue" feature on or off. If it is switched on, boxes for storing a password along with the responses and for loading existing responses are shown to the respondents next to the questionnaire. This allows respondents to interrupt the work of filling in a questionnaire and continue later where they left off.
