Response data can be downloaded in the CSV format (comma-separated values), ready for importing the data into Microsoft Excel, SPSS, or other software for further processing.

There are two formats available:

	The contents of a whole questionnaire in every line, or
	the data for one question in every line.

Before downloading raw data, select the survey (if you have more than one).

If you are only interested in the responses from certain days, you can restrict the date range. By default, the dates are set so that all responses are included.

Select the format of the report (every line can contain either the complete contents of a questionnaire or just the data for one question), and click the button to generate the report. The report can be downloaded securely with SSL, simply by clicking on the link that is provided after a few seconds.

For most purposes, this format works best. The obvious advantages are that there is no redundancy and that it is easy to see which answers belong to the same respondent. But there is more: The lines are automatically sorted by similarity, based on the numerical answers. In other words, answers where the respondents have placed their check marks at similar positions on corresponding scales are likely to end up closely together in the CSV file with the response data. This can be useful for spotting attempts of manipulating the survey results by filling in multiple questionnaires with extreme responses.

If the contents of a whole questionnaire are put into one line, the format depends on the questionnaire. You might prefer a constant format, where the meaning of every column is always the same. If you choose the second possibility, one question per line, this is the case.

The information in the report is the same, with one exception: IP addresses are only included in the "One question per line" format.

For questions with scales, there are the following possibilities:

	The respondent does not pick any value on the scale, not even the "no opinion" option. This is shown in the report as -1.
	The respondent picks the "no opinion" option. This is shown in the report as 0.
	The respondent picks some value on the scale. This is shown in the report as a positive number.
